struggling powerfully

October 2, 2008

honestly honestly honestly, this morning’s ‘post-prelim debrief’ left me really miserable and for a moment totally helpless. they make it sound so nice that we’re ‘performing better compared to the 06/07 batch’ – which on individual level, i deem it absolutely untrue. and no joke, now we’re just hopeful miracle factories… hopefully to give it all we’ve got in 4 weeks. FOUR SHORT, EXCRUCIATING WEEKS AHEAD!!!!

at one point, i dejectedly confessed to wenqi that it’s at this kind of time i find it really hard to trust God. while i’m assured that my future is in His hands, sometimes i just can’t help but wonder, so God, what exactly are your plans for me? everything at the moment seems kind of blur and going nowhere. (with all that tedious, annoying decision making). then wenqi reminded me, this is where faith comes in. and come to think of it, it’s only in tough times can you say you’ve gone thru the test of faith. and i want to believe in God strong. my blog address didnt sprout out of nothing =p life is a constant struggle - but struggling helplessly or struggling powerfully – it produces different fruits.

and actually, life in God is that interesting. and exciting. you can’t see the end, you can’t see the whole long journey ahead (or you might be deterred & discouraged from even taking out the very first step – something i learnt from raphael), God reveals it piece by piece when you choose to believe and take baby steps slowly, foot by foot. and with every step comes a new understanding, a new revelation… wow. my life is definitely not a bed of roses (:

i’m stressed because i know by my own ability, Alevels will send me to my grave.
but when i choose to shift my focus to my stronghold, i know nothing is too difficult for my God. i’m still learning to put my whole trust in God. how about you? :D

anw! tonight was sports night, quite boring until time for food, of course. but the main thing was still the company. love the team yo. btw thank you very much adidas, we all think adidas rocks… (so maybe mr adidas-guy if you’re reading this you can consider upping the sponsorship). i concluded that both hockey teams are realll lucky. 5 lucky draw winners for the night! but can you believe it, hanwei got a honda… toy car. and it was dusty!! we suspect the pe dept dug it out from some corner in the office. some photossss from the night
